A Lotto winner promise

If you want to win the lotto jackpot and a condition, a pact or a promise is attach to it, will you fulfill it? Of course you will. It is easy to say YES as of now. But then when the time comes, when you win the lotto jackpot, will you really do it? After you claim your prize, the promise that you have made to yourself is now waiting, and your conscience says to you, it is time for your promise. Let say you won P20 million. You have to give the P10 million as you promised. Will you still fulfill your promise?

I found this article very interesting that's why I'm asking this question. Will you still fulfill your promise?
LONDON - The billionaire founder of a British supermarket chain is donating most of his fortune to charity to fulfill a "pact with God."

Albert Gubay, a penniless candy seller in Wales after World War II, says he made a vow with God at the time to hand over half his fortune to the Catholic Church if he ever became rich.

Gubay went on to found the Kwik Save grocery chain and later accumulated development properties in Liverpool and Manchester. Now 82, the retail entrepreneur says he's making good on his charitable promise.

Gubay, a lifelong Roman Catholic, has placed his business empire — valued at roughly $690 million, according to Forbes — into a charitable trust. Upon his death, half of that money will go to causes identified by the Catholic Church, with the other half to go to good causes selected by the trustees.

Gubay ranked at No. 880 in Forbes 2010 list of the world's billionaires, with a total fortune worth $1.1 billion. He lives on the quiet British tax haven of the Isle of Man with his second wife and has two children with his first wife.

'Make me a millionaire'

In a 1997 television documentary, the media-shy Gubay said he came out of the Royal Navy after WWII.
He borrowed 100 pounds and made the pact with God: Make me a millionaire — and you can have half of my money.
Gubay plans to continue running his companies until he dies and wants to maximize profits for the Albert Gubay Charitable Foundation.

A Promise is waiting. .....

Again upon his death, half of that money will go to causes identified by the Catholic Church, with the other half to go to good causes selected by the trustees.
I believe upon Mr. Gubays death, his pact with God will be fulfilled.

Going back to our lotto jackpot promise, Mr.Gubays promise is after his death. How about you? You have promise to give the P10 million by the time you receive your jackpot prize, which is anytime now. But you have still many years to leave, possibly 40 more years to go. Will you still fulfill your promise?
