3 Lotto jackpot winners ... picture please ?

There are 3 lucky lotto winners for the 6/49 march 9 2010 draw. With the jackpot prize of P83,154,092.40. Each has a share of more or less P28 million. When the lotto winner saw that his ticket has won the jackpot, the lotto winner could not imagine that he won P83 million.

That is the first reaction of a lotto winner. But is he really sure that he is the only lotto jackpot winner? Now comes PCSO telling the winner that 3 of them won the jackpot. What is your first reaction?...I cant believe it.... Can you show me some proof.

Now lets go to other Countries, who has lotto games also. From United States to London or Ireland or Spain. The only evidence they could show is a simple PICTURE of a lotto winner.

Why winners has to be pictured. Can you trust that lotto is fair? It's all about integrity. If you do not trust the lottery, you won't play. That is the main reason that most lotteries around the world publish the names of lottery winners. It is social proof that the lottery is fair. People need to know that they have a fair chance of winning the lottery.
By publishing the names of winners, the lottery corporation shows that normal, everyday people like yourself can and do win the lottery. Not only do they list names, they also provide photos of many of the winners. Seeing a name and photo does a lot to show that real people actually win.

But,what would you think if winners were always kept secret by the lotto companies? Just like us here in our country.

What if they don't published the names or pictures of lottery winners. Would you still think you could win? Would you still play the lotto? Maybe not. What proof would there be that people actually won? The only reason I could think here in our country is what I call .... A TRUST THING.

Its really a different thing for us here. Many things could happen if we published our photos in the newspaper as a proof that you won the lotto. I wont enumerate all the reasons, but your life is really in danger. From kidnapping to ransom to akyat bahay to friends and relatives, you know what I mean. I would say again, we are Filipinos and when it comes to money, we are different from the rest of the world. What do you think? should we publish our photos just to prove that we have lotto winners here in our country?
