Jan 18 2008
It was a lucky pick number combination that gave the Sunday draw winning of P126-M lotto jackpot prize to a certain individual in Cebu City. The still unidentified winner beat millions of Filipinos from joining the caravan of millionaires produced by the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) through its lotto games.
The numbers that made the difference were 25, 29, 07, 04, 34 and 31, with the help of P50 pesos and the randomly machine selected superlotto (6/49) numbers from a lotto outlet on Eschavez Ext., fronting Ramos Market in Cebu City, an hour before closing time. This was the second time that a winning jackpot ticket was sold since the lotto outlet started operating on 1998; the first one was the draw of P56 million on July 29 2003,” according to Mr. Mario Villa, Cebu lotto outlet owner wherein the winning ticket was bought.
Based on records, Cebu has already produced 38 millionaires through lotto games, since it started operation in 1996. Presently the Vismin Area of operation already has 1,090 lotto outlets on its credit, scattered throughout the Visayas and Mindanao area. In Cebu alone there are 237 outlets already in operation, with another 120 outlets operating inside the city proper.
