Friendship vs. money

My friend  play's the lotto everyday and depends upon when the jackpot gets big then he buys more lotto tickets.

As a fantasy it sounds great to win a lotto jackpot and have all the money one could ever want, but I wonder in reality will my friend be still my friend if he wins the lotto jackpot ?

My friend  was discussing this the other night with me and mentioned how cool it would be to win the lotto jackpot.


So I mentioned that although it sounds great, I doubt the reality would be as cool as it sounds.

He like his current friends, but if he wins the lottery I am not sure those relationships would stand the test.

But lotto money is quantum leap above that I think just having that money would put a huge strain on those friendships. 


So I was just curious as to what people here would think if they honestly did win the lottery.

Would you be okay losing your current friendship or do you honestly think none of that would change ?
