The octogenarian, a widow and mother of four, claimed Monday the P44-million jackpot prize at the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) headquarters in Pasay City after she picked the correct number combination for the 6/42 Lotto draw on Aug. 29.
She said she chose the numbers based on the birth dates of her children and grandchildren.
The winner, a owner of a small farm tilled by tenants, started buying lotto tickets only three years ago.
“At my age, I have nothing to do at home. I was bored so I decided to play the lottery regularly.
The winner plan to share her winnings with her children and grandchildren and donate a portion to her church and its projects.
