A 71-year-old widow from Manila but stays in the province won the 6/55 Grand Lotto’s July 17 draw.
The widow, who bought her ticket from a lotto outlet in Gumaca, Quezon province, picked the winning combination – 7-10-14-17-25-28 – from the birthdates of her children and grandchildren.
The widow plans to share her winnings with her three children and her grandchildren, donate to their chapel and save the rest for their future needs.

A 68-year-old Taguig City widow collected the Lotto 6/42’s P17-million jackpot, but only after feeling so nervous that her P20 winning ticket might have been lost.
“I did not know that my ticket won. I just left it lying around the house.
She said it was only when she heard from neighbors that the winner of 6/42’s draw on July 9 is from Taguig City.
“Suddenly, I got nervous, and right away I tried hard recalling where I placed my lotto tickets. I searched the whole house. It was really fortunate the ticket was still at the top of a cabinet.
Her single bet, combining birthdays and random numbers, matched the winning combination – 7-11-15-21-29-39 drawn on July 9.
A lotto bettor since 1995, the latest winner said she plans to share some of her winnings to her children and siblings, and save the rest.
