Are you really poor ?

Do you really need to win the lotto jackpot?

How do you define the word POOR?

How do you define the word RICH?

Now while searching for the latest news about lotto, I found a story about a father and an innocent son on how poor people live.

One day, the father of a very wealthy family took his son on a trip to the province with the express purpose of showing him how poor people live.
They spent a couple of days and nights on the farm of what would be considered a very poor family.

On their return from their trip, the father asked his son, “How was the trip?”
“It was great, Dad.”
“Did you see how poor people live?” the father asked.
“Oh yeah,” said the son.
“So, tell me, what did you learn from the trip?” asked the father.

The son answered: “I saw that we have one dog and they had four. We have a pool that reaches to the middle of our garden and they have a creek that has no end. We have imported lanterns in our garden and they have the stars at night. Our patio reaches to the front yard and they have the whole horizon.

“We have a small piece of land to live on and they have fields that go beyond our sight.
“We have servants who serve us, but they serve others. We buy our food, but they grow theirs.
“We have walls around our property to protect us, they have friends to protect them.”
The boy’s father was speechless.
Then his son added, “Thanks Dad for showing me how poor we are.”

Now, do you still need to win the lotto jackpot?
Thanks to Dipendalal for this story.

Who else wants to be a lotto winner

A Negrense wins P94M in lotto

A Negrense became a multi-millionaire after winning the jackpot in Sunday’s draw of Super Lotto 49.
The Negros Occidental bettor was the lone winner of the P94,412,325.60
The P20 bet for the winning six-number combination – 5-15-16-26-27-28 was made at the lotto outlet in Hinigaran town,Negros Occ. It took 17 draws since May 6 before the Super Lotto 49 top prize was taken.

Another bettor from Cauayan, Isabela won P65,780,425.80 for betting on the winning six-number combination for Lotto 42. It took 18 draws since May 4 before the Lotto 42 jackpot was won.

How lucky this lotto bettors are?
Well, they are just like us, ordinary lotto bettors lining up in a lotto betting station, and the difference is that, lady luck has just knock on there doors.
I know that they have dreamed just like us, that one day they would win the lotto, and that day has come to this lotto bettors.

Could there be any secret on this lotto winners?
Maybe the secret behind picking those winning numbers is... there is no secret at all!. What they did was, they just bet on the numbers they wanted to bet just the same us we do. it was only the time that there numbers came out, and its pure luck.

So the only thing for us to win the lotto, in which there is no secret at all, is just bet and play consistent. no need to bet thousands of pesos , just with 2 or 3 lotto combination's will do ..... believe me.

Lucky money

I found another interesting story about a lotto winner who won almost 20 million pesos, and just gave away his lotto winnings.

Maybe this lucky old man was thinking, he would just set aside a small portion of his winnings and anytime now his going to die anyway.
what if he distribute the money to his relatives and neighbors, and that will make them all happy?

Agence France-Press

HANOI – A poverty-stricken 97-year-old man in Vietnam won up to $400,000(20 million pesos) in a lottery, sparking a frenzy among relatives eager to get a piece of his new-found wealth.

A neighbor in southern Ho Chi Minh City and local officials had to step in to stop the elderly man from giving away the windfall to people who had swarmed to his home.

Nguyen Van Het bagged the prize after spending 100,000 dong (just over $5) on lottery tickets from "lucky money" he received ahead of the Lunar New Year.
Small packets of "lucky money" are a traditional Tet gift.

Thanh Nien reported Het's winnings at 7.6 billion dong, or $400,000, a massive sum in a country where the annual per capita income is about $1,000.

The official, who declined to be named, said local authorities had to intervene and restore order around the man's home because so many relatives or people claiming to be relatives had turned up asking for money.

Het and his sick wife had been receiving special financial support from authorities because they lived below the poverty line..

By the way this old man used a lucky money to bet the lotto. How about asking a gift from a friend, instead of a material gift, how about a lucky money?

A lotto winner in trouble

Its really a big problem if you will win a lotto jackpot.
It could either kill you or make you sick if you are not careful about it.
I found this news about a lotto winner whose father wanted to kill his son because he won a lotto jackpot. What a story....

BRASILIA, May 28, 2010 (Reuters) — The winner of a $16 million lottery jackpot in Brazil escaped his own father's plot to kill him after police caught two contract killers supposedly hired to carry out his murder.

Police informed Fabio de Barros of the plan by his father, Francisco, to have him killed in order to keep the winnings the two had fought over since Fabio won the lotto

Francisco was arrested in Cuiaba in western Brazil. Police learned the murder plot when they monitored the phone conversations between the two men accused of working as guns-for-hire.
