A Lotto winner promise

If you want to win the lotto jackpot and a condition, a pact or a promise is attach to it, will you fulfill it? Of course you will. It is easy to say YES as of now. But then when the time comes, when you win the lotto jackpot, will you really do it? After you claim your prize, the promise that you have made to yourself is now waiting, and your conscience says to you, it is time for your promise. Let say you won P20 million. You have to give the P10 million as you promised. Will you still fulfill your promise?

I found this article very interesting that's why I'm asking this question. Will you still fulfill your promise?
LONDON - The billionaire founder of a British supermarket chain is donating most of his fortune to charity to fulfill a "pact with God."

Albert Gubay, a penniless candy seller in Wales after World War II, says he made a vow with God at the time to hand over half his fortune to the Catholic Church if he ever became rich.

Gubay went on to found the Kwik Save grocery chain and later accumulated development properties in Liverpool and Manchester. Now 82, the retail entrepreneur says he's making good on his charitable promise.

Gubay, a lifelong Roman Catholic, has placed his business empire — valued at roughly $690 million, according to Forbes — into a charitable trust. Upon his death, half of that money will go to causes identified by the Catholic Church, with the other half to go to good causes selected by the trustees.

Gubay ranked at No. 880 in Forbes 2010 list of the world's billionaires, with a total fortune worth $1.1 billion. He lives on the quiet British tax haven of the Isle of Man with his second wife and has two children with his first wife.

'Make me a millionaire'

In a 1997 television documentary, the media-shy Gubay said he came out of the Royal Navy after WWII.
He borrowed 100 pounds and made the pact with God: Make me a millionaire — and you can have half of my money.
Gubay plans to continue running his companies until he dies and wants to maximize profits for the Albert Gubay Charitable Foundation.

A Promise is waiting. .....

Again upon his death, half of that money will go to causes identified by the Catholic Church, with the other half to go to good causes selected by the trustees.
I believe upon Mr. Gubays death, his pact with God will be fulfilled.

Going back to our lotto jackpot promise, Mr.Gubays promise is after his death. How about you? You have promise to give the P10 million by the time you receive your jackpot prize, which is anytime now. But you have still many years to leave, possibly 40 more years to go. Will you still fulfill your promise?

Lotto winner say ..NO..NO.. and NO

What is life AFTER wining the lotto jackpot like? what life changes you should expect after winning a big cash prize, and the #1 mistake you MUST learn to avoid to stay sane, safe and happy.

How does life change for most lotto winners?
Most quit work. (often immediately) Many become the primary caretakers for their families.....often being responsible for the financial well being of cousins, nephews, kids, friends and anyone else who shows up at their door with their hands out. Many feel a ton of pressure...and new found insecurity about who they should trust...and who should be avoided. Often including people who have been part of there lives for years.

What about the positive changes a lotto winner experiences?
The fun and freedom of being financially free is a very liberating thing. You can do the things you want...when you want. You can come and go as you please.. freedom of time. Another is that you get a perspective on money that MOST people never will. You learn to appreciate it....but not worship it.

The #1 MISTAKE that most lottery winners regret is this.......

Learning to say "NO". The truth is, "no" is the most important word for a lottery winner to learn. Too many people want to much from you..and you can't reasonably accommodate everyone. Not saying "no" early can lead to fractured relationships later....and a constant and never ending barrage of requests that CAN ruin your life and your relationships. I remember a lotto winner who was rush to St. Luke medical center in Quezon City way back 4 years ago because of nervous breakdown. The reason was to much pressure from relatives who were asking for help. The lotto winner could not say a simple word "NO". It was a never ending problem from her relatives until almost all her winnings were gone.

I hope anytime now, you are ready to receive your lotto jackpot prize together with the word "NO". But still, the only solution for all this problem ....I will say it again .... keep it a secret when you win the lotto jackpot.

3 Lotto jackpot winners ... picture please ?

There are 3 lucky lotto winners for the 6/49 march 9 2010 draw. With the jackpot prize of P83,154,092.40. Each has a share of more or less P28 million. When the lotto winner saw that his ticket has won the jackpot, the lotto winner could not imagine that he won P83 million.

That is the first reaction of a lotto winner. But is he really sure that he is the only lotto jackpot winner? Now comes PCSO telling the winner that 3 of them won the jackpot. What is your first reaction?...I cant believe it.... Can you show me some proof.

Now lets go to other Countries, who has lotto games also. From United States to London or Ireland or Spain. The only evidence they could show is a simple PICTURE of a lotto winner.

Why winners has to be pictured. Can you trust that lotto is fair? It's all about integrity. If you do not trust the lottery, you won't play. That is the main reason that most lotteries around the world publish the names of lottery winners. It is social proof that the lottery is fair. People need to know that they have a fair chance of winning the lottery.
By publishing the names of winners, the lottery corporation shows that normal, everyday people like yourself can and do win the lottery. Not only do they list names, they also provide photos of many of the winners. Seeing a name and photo does a lot to show that real people actually win.

But,what would you think if winners were always kept secret by the lotto companies? Just like us here in our country.

What if they don't published the names or pictures of lottery winners. Would you still think you could win? Would you still play the lotto? Maybe not. What proof would there be that people actually won? The only reason I could think here in our country is what I call .... A TRUST THING.

Its really a different thing for us here. Many things could happen if we published our photos in the newspaper as a proof that you won the lotto. I wont enumerate all the reasons, but your life is really in danger. From kidnapping to ransom to akyat bahay to friends and relatives, you know what I mean. I would say again, we are Filipinos and when it comes to money, we are different from the rest of the world. What do you think? should we publish our photos just to prove that we have lotto winners here in our country?

Lotto bettors ... Luck is the only thing

When a lotto bettor wins a lotto jackpot, we all collectively look at the lucky winner and wonder how luck came to this person or what caused God's extraordinary intervention in his life.

I always tell people that there are no systems ,tips or secret formula to win the lotto.
If there was a sure-fire technique that would win you the lotto every time, then the lottery business would definitely go down. We would all become winners.

For me the best trick to pick out number combination's for lotto is to pick them randomly. When you are in the lottery outlet to place bets you should bet on the number combination's that comes immediately to your mind in that exact moment. Follow your instinct because this might be the key for your luck in winning. Note that lottery games are still games of luck. This is why we must rely too much on our luck when playing lottery games.

Moreover, as I always say you can also make use of birthdays, anniversaries, and other significant dates to create your own number combination's. Some people think that getting combination ideas from these dates is very lucky. The truth is, this is a good option. You may even choose to pick lotto number combination's suggested by horoscopes or even in your dreams. There are people who believes in the luck that dreams and horoscopes gives them. This is also a good way to choose numbers since we are actually playing game which is reliant on luck.

Luck has the power to transform the improbable into the possible, but we have to do our part in order to create luck.
And this is what I mean.

A man was praying to God and said, "please God, I really need some money. Let me win the lottery."
He got no response.
A week later the man said, "God, I really, really need money. Help me to win the lottery.
Again no reply from God.
A week later, the man said, "God, what is going on? I've been good.I always pray Why can't I win the lottery?"
Suddenly there is a blinding flash of light as the heavens open and the man is confronted by the voice of GOD himself:
And God said, " Buy a lotto ticket"

REMEMBER: YOU HAVE TO DO YOUR PART IN ORDER TO CREATE YOUR OWN LUCK ....

Lotto winner ... Please be careful

It is common for lotto winners to have a life changing experience. You may have plans of having a vacation in some of the most beautiful cities or beaches, specially in Boracay or Plantation bay in Cebu. Or, perhaps you are planning to acquire some real estate properties, a condo or a big house or will buy the latest cellphone, or the latest laptop, or this and that, and those and all of those things you even don't need, just to satisfy yourself. Now, after winning the lotto, you must consider that you might be culture shocked with the sudden change in your lifestyle.

Of course, you deserve to spend the money that you have won on the things that you desire. But, remember that spending too much money might cause you to lose all those millions in a snap. So, you need to make sure that you have a good plan on how to spend your money to the effect of not losing them all.

You should also find out the ways to effectively safeguard your money so that you will not be victimized by people who have bad intentions for you and your millions.

Remember we are Filipinos, and we have some few friends and sometimes no relatives at all if we are poor. But if they knew you won the lotto jackpot, then all people will be your friends and relatives.
when people know that you have won the lotto, there will always be some persons that will take advantage of you or worst, steal your wealth from you.

My advice is to avoid broadcasting your success, remember the Antipolo lotto winner ? He enjoyed his money maybe for a month only and he was killed.

If you are an employee at a certain company, do not resign from your job immediately..... and do not engage in a sudden change of lifestyle.

Refrain from adhering to the advices of those who offer their services as financial advisers KUNO... because they are mostly after their welfare only and not yours.

So its not that easy having millions in your pocket, especially your security. Try to manage your money carefully in a way that you don't waste it. As far as I know, this windfall could only happen once in a lifetime. So Please be careful......
